Dr. Chintamani Godbole is one of the best surgeon and Oncologist specialist for Colorectal Cancer. I have met him regarding my father’s treatment at Dadar on his clinic. We told him about the complications we are facing, then he explained us properly about the issue and the treatment plan very well & convincingly. In month of january firstly he has performed a colostomy surgery at jaslok hospital and after that he has told us about the post surgery treatment plan of chemotherapy and radiation and also suggested us about the doctors as well, during the chemotherapy and radiation period he kept in touch regularly and replies to every question with great understanding until the cycles are over. After that, he has done a proper analysis of shrinkage in the tumour and then suggested & guided us about the colorectal surgery. Dr. Chintamani has done an incredible & excellent job. Excellent, suggest them 100% I had got gallstones and had to get my gallbladder removed I was apprehensive about the surgery as a lot of people said that I won’t be able to eat certain food. My close relative was diagnosed with rectal cancer and the doctors we visited previously had scared the patient and almost misled us, insisting that a permanent lifestyle change (permanent ileostomy) was inevitable.

However, when we approached Dr. Chintamani Godbole, he studied the case and drew up a treatment plan that led to recovery without any permanent lifestyle change. He communicated the issue in detail, in layman’s terms, alleviating all worries, panic and fear surrounding cancer. His treatment plan included radiation, chemotherapy and surgeries which were spaced throughout the year.

Dr. Godbole was involved every step of the way, tracking the patient’s health throughout the complete treatment.

Post completion of the radiation sessions and about a month of resting period, Dr. Godbole conducted the minimally invasive robotic surgery for Rectal cancer at Jaslok Hospital. It was a complex procedure which took more than 5 hours but was brilliantly executed which avoided permanent ileostomy.

The post-surgery care was handled by Dr. Godbole and his team extremely well and the home care instructions were properly explained. After a brief healing period, chemotherapy sessions were conducted, followed by the Ileostomy reversal surgery, executed by Dr. Godbole.

I would highly recommend Dr. Godbole for any colo-rectal surgeries. He and his team of doctors, diagnosed and managed the overall treatment over the last 8-10 months in an accurate and efficient manner, leading to patient’s complete recovery.
